There seems to be a universal dislike of spiders and we can all agree that we don’t like them inside our house, so here is a natural way to repel spiders. This recipe is simple, doesn’t take much time to create, it’s effective and it’s all natural.
Luckily essential oils come to the rescue again and now I use peppermint oil to all but eradicate spiders from my home. Here’s what you do…
To make a natural spider repellent, you’ll need a bottle of peppermint oil, dish soap, water, and a spray bottle.
Simply fill a spray bottle with tap water and add 10-15 drops of peppermint essential oil, then add a teaspoon of dish soap. Give it a quick smell to make sure the mixture smells minty, if not add a few more drops.
Then you simply need to shake the mixture and spray the solution in any the cracks and gaps where spiders may reside or can enter your home.
Spiders do not like peppermint oil. The strong smell will send them scurrying in the other direction and away from your home.
For an even more potent remedy add one or two drops of peppermint oil onto a cotton bud and place in the areas where spiders enter. It’s as simple as that!
It’s important to know that this natural solution does not kill spiders, it just the environment uncomfortable for them and moves them on out.
